Baby Girl is a Border Collie mix estimated to be around 1 1/2 years old. She came to North Star on February 4, from a small town in Texas where she had been feral most of her life. She was terrified of people and unfortunately, also heartworm positive. North Star reached out to the public for help in raising funds for her heartworm treatments, and luckily for Baby Girl was able to raise the money needed. She had her first treatment on March 12, and her second on April 9, . We are keeping her quiet for the next 30 days as the heartworms die off. This is a critical time for her and we would appreciate your prayers for her recovery. At this time Baby Girl is not available for adoption, but if all goes well after her 30 days are up we will be looking for a special home for this very special pup.
